AMERICAN MEALS February 3, 2020

Here we are once again! This week has been a really amazing week!!

So, after eating foot soup for lunch again this week, I decided that I needed to eat something American styled. So with some of the new converts, I told them that I was going to teach them how to make hamburgers!!!! Oh man, I bought tons of meat and stuffed them with peppers and onions. Eating a nice dinner of hamburgers and fries made me feel right at home in an Ecuadorian kitchen!

This week, we had two baptisms! Carlos, who we have been visiting for a while and Lourdes. Carlos is an amazing man. The last week, we took him to a family home evening and after the message, I was talking to him and he told me about all the things he was changing in his life and just how much better he felt about how he was living. He told me that his relationship was so much better with all of his family! In the next visit, he asked us very nervously, "I have a very strong urge to share what you have been teaching me with my family but don't know if that is accepted in the church?" we explained to him that we would love for him to share and especially more to help him haha!! Lourdes was a bit of a miracle honestly. She was supposed to get baptized on Christmas but some things happened and she couldn't. We kept on visiting and passing by and inviting her to come to church and she always came. This week we went by and had a lesson with her older sister who is a recent convert and we were talking about the temple because her and her boyfriend are thinking about getting married (both are members of the church). Lourdes asked us A LOT of questions about the temple and then decided that she wanted to go and said she would do anything to get there! She was baptized the next day!!

I love you all family and friends! I hope you know that so many miracles are happening in Gods work! I know that this gospel is true and that God loves us. Have an amazing week!
