Alright here we go Ive got a good one for you all this week. Friends and Family welcome back!!!
So this week we were teaching a great new person named Holjer! He is progressing greatly and really wants to get baptized! We teach him at his friends house though who is a member. When we were done teaching him, the member asked if we could pray for her son because he's been hearing voices. We asked a little bit more about the voices and he said that it sounds like someone is shouting his name from way far behind him. He then walked over to a bucket and yelled his name into it and said it sounded like that. Thanks Maykol for the example. We then asked the member if there were any other problems they were having around the house. She then tells us that she's been seeing a little brown girl with huge black eyes and really long nails in her house at night and that she likes to tickle her feet.... I just don't understand why a description like that would tickle someones feet.... We gave them both blessings and then blessed the house for good measure.
On Saturday, we got a huge service project together for the church and we went and painted a school!!!! So cool! So many youth showed up!!!!!! I learned real quick though that if you "accidentally" get paint on one of the youth, you'll have 30 of his friends come at you with paint brushes. my poor shirt. They were all shouting, "Lets make the gringo even MORE gringo!"
Yesterday we were teaching a lesson that was fantastic! The spirit was so strong! The man had gone through so much in his life and lost basically all his money to drugs. he started over like 2 years ago and now has a family that is growing greatly! He also decided that he wanted to do things gods way. After the first visit, He said he would say the closing prayer. After we taught him how, he was all ready to go. Right when he started praying, the tv that was behind us that we had turned down the volume too at the beginning of the lesson suddenly burst into full blast but to a channel that was only static. The tv hadn't done that at any point of the lesson. I could barely hear, but through it all I could hear that he was still praying. He kept going and the tv kept making the noise. It stopped right when he said Amen. Dang there are some really weird things that happen. He said he will be at church though!
We are praying for a family this week that we have been working really hard with! Tomorrow after a long fight for about 6 months, they find out if the mom and dad can get married! They told us that once they do, they will be baptized as fast as possible. I love this family with all my heart, pictures will definitely be on the way of them.
