Hey everyone this week was quite full of amazing things!
We got to go to the temple and receive some revelation! I love that holy house and if you have not been there in a while, I invite you to take a time and go enjoy the Lords house! The biggest thing that I want to share with you all is a scripture I found on our trip to the temple. James 2:17-18. I invite you all to look it up and put in to action what you learn!
I had a really heart touching experience this week on Saturday. We took a bus trip up deep into our sector to visit a member family who was about to baptize their 8 year old son. The mother isn't a member though and the father has had some problems with that but the relationship works. When we got there, he told us that he thought it would be best to wait a little bit to baptize his kid so that he could tell his mom for himself that he wanted to do it. So that he could learn a little more and understand what we share. All of this so that the mom wouldn't be mad about him getting baptized into the church. We shared with him about just how special the family is and how even more special it is when there is love at home. We invited him to help his son grow and learn the things that he needed to so that he could make the decision to get baptized later on in life. We invited them to read in the scriptures together and to always have family prayer. The father seemed really content so I asked him if there was anything more that we could do for his family. He asked if we could pray for the well being of his family, and then he started to get really really emotional. The spirit flooded into the room as we offered him a blessing of comfort as well. I love being a missionary. I love being able to bring the love of Christ to people who need to feel it in this world.
This week a lady played a joke on me and my comp that she was going to give us bull ball soup. I was like, are you serious? how could food get any worse! We got to her house and she plopped down a soup in front of me with two giant balls in there. My stomach lurched as I cut into one of them, but felt soooooooooooo much better when I found out that it was just banana balls and that she had gotten us really good hahaha! My life sure was saved there!
I love this work and I love everything about the time that I have spent as a missionary! I am growing and learning and being the tool in the hands of the Lord that he needs me to be. I encourage all of you to stand up for what you believe in at all times and in all things and in all places!
