Family and Friends welcome back to your own little experience of Ecuador!!!!!
Adriana got baptized this week!!!! Wow I love her story so much. At her baptism, she shared her testimony with everyone. She talked about the first time we met, "a Saturday night in a dark alley... yeah.... but I was running and saw two gringos and wanted them to speak english to me! Little did I know they were about to share something that would change my life forever." She is such a blessing for the church. I can't wait for her to experience even more of the joy God has in store for her!!!
This week we watched the safety zone video that they have for all the missionaries for electrical safety. They talked about low hanging powerlines and cut powerlines and how we should stay away from them. I instantly saw in my mind about the thousand places in my area that we need to stay clear of. woohoooo!!!
Semana Santa is just really something... on Friday we were teaching someone the restoration as about 1000 people walked by mumbling some song as they made their way to a church. Many were dressed up as shepherds. Many more as Mary. It was a good thing we were teaching the restoration.
I am baffled at how much rice they eat down here.
We were in the middle of another restoration lesson and we mentioned Joseph Smith. He thought for a second and then it looked like a light bulb just went off in his head! He then asked us, "so what part of gringoland are you from?" Dang it haha!
I love you all so much and I hope you all had the best opportunity to think about the Savior this easter! Family and Friends I know that our Savior lives. And just as He lives, so will all of us. I love him so much and I know without a doubt that He loves me.
