Family and Friends it has been raining for 4 days! haha!
This week was really amazing! Weve been working hard with the people that we have met and we are working hard to find even more. There is a lot of hope for the 13th of April!
The frogs here don't croak. They scream. Bloody murder. Actually kind of morbid, not going to lie haha!
Pretty cool story though! We had a lesson with Edison and his family planned, but it was raining super hard that day and he had some trouble getting home on his motorcycle. We passed by and talked with the kids for a little waiting to see if they would show up, but when they didn't, we went to the store on the other side of the street, bought the kids ice cream, and went on our way to find some people. While we were walking, we got a call from the other elders telling us that one of them just fell down a hole and wrecked his knee, but more importantly to buy pizza for all of us that night. So we went and bought the pizza and while we were waiting, Edison called me and asked where we were! He and his wife came and met us at the pizza place and we talked for an hour! He was super touched that we bought ice cream for the kids and invited us over the next day. When we got there, his brother was there and they took us to a restaurant on the side of the street to eat ribs hahaha!!!! So dang delicious!!!! Like I said last week. What an amazing family. I cant wait to see them continue on their route!
We were walking around one morning and I was kind of down because we had gotten rejected like all that morning and to add insult to injury, one of those contacts was spent with me getting water sprayed the whole time i was talking by one of the mothers kids, we found a man sitting on the side of the street that said that he was waiting for his car to get fixed and that he had a ton of time to spare. Score. We gave him a book and explained it a little bit better, but he told us that he didn't live in the area and kind of seemed to me that he wasn't all that interested so we were wrapping up the contact about to walk away when he asked "do you want to read it with me?" well thats like asking a kid if he wants some ice cream. We sat down and read like 5 chapters of the book of mormon with him pffffft! He said he was absolutely looking for missionaries when he got back to his house!
Lots of amazing things are happening here in Urbanor. We just need people to come to church and feel of the spirit and the joy inside of that building! We take the church for granted a lot. Ive taken the church for granted a lot for sure in my life. But as I've come to understand a lot more the importance behind it, I can't even describe how important it is in our lives. I want to share that importance with everyone. Gonna give it my all this week.
