Hey Everyone its super humid here!
This week has been so full of great things!!! Starting off, we had zone conference and I got to see my friends from the MTC and we had the sweetest of reunions!!!!!!! I love them so much and was so happy to hear about the success they have had and finally catch up and joke around again. so bittersweet after about 4 months!!!
Also its been 6 months. You miss me yet?
We went through the temple for zone conference and was my first time in Spanish! I understood a whole lot more than I thought I would and man I received such amazing revelation for our sector! Been a little hard lately because me and Elder Billings are both new to Ecuador and we are starting a new sector here in Ecuador so we are just running around doing things and figuring it out for ourselves. I know we are guided by the Spirit to those we need to talk to! We have some great people that are progressing, I will keep you updated as they keep moving along the path.
I woke up Friday morning to shaking. I thought a train was passing by. Realized I lived on a mountain and there just aren't trains in Ecuador. Wooooohhoooooo went through my first earthquake! (apparently a big one too, dunno, I was sleeping and don't know the scale) Closed my eyes and was woken up 10 minutes later to my SECOND earthquake!!!! wooohoooo!
Really cool spiritual experience this week. We were contacting two people sitting at a table in a park and right when we started, one of them just started arguing with me about how the sabbath was on a Saturday. While I was talking to him and sharing with him my testimony, I felt the spirit tell me that I needed to IGNORE the man on the bench and talk to his friend. IGNORE. how crazy! I did exactly that though and the friend had a lot of genuine questions. we had a really spiritual talk while the friend was basically yelling at me for ignoring him. We set up another appointment with the friend and we will see where it leads. The spirit knows best for sure.
I received the revelation that I needed to learn how to play the ukelele. I cant fight revelation so lets see how this goes!
I love you all so much and I am so happy to finally be here working in Ecuador! So many great things will be coming! I cant wait to share them all with you.
Until next week
