15 MINUTES IN A DIFFERENT LANGUAGE January 28, 2019

Hello everyone coming back again from the great and spacious town of largo! Not even really the town we just cover the whole peninsula so we are always in a different area meeting different people and it's super amazing!

The worst thing ever is there is a Culvers like bike riding distance from us and they have amazing flavors of the day and long story short I've had to start working out mornings and nights just to keep up with it hahaha!

Only in Florida will someone lift up their sleeve and show you their arm sleeve tattoo of the last supper when you ask if they are familiar with the bible. My man dj!!! Also told us that he can "make a soup out of anything" when he found out my last name is Campbell. I love the people here!

We were on the phone setting up a call with the sisters who were teaching someone that didn't speak much English and wanted us to help, and Elder Young pointed behind me and on the wall in the kitchen was a HUGE cockroach just crawling around! I ran over and got a plastic cup and caught the boy, then didn't know what to do from there because it would have escaped in any way we tried. Then elder young tossed me a roll of tape. Yes, there is a cockroach taped to the wall of our apartment. Still. This was last Thursday.

I gave a talk yesterday in Spanish! Super cool to find out that I can speak for 15 minutes in a different language! All the members said I did super good and then started correcting my words and how I say things. Glad they at least took something from it haha!

Yesterday in class at the church the teacher drew some stick figures on the blackboard. One was huge and one was tiny. They were supposed to represent spirituality, but some of the members kept looking at me and pointing to me and the small one and saying "sopita" hahaha! Ah one day I'll be in Ecuador where I'm taller than everyone!!!! But I seriously love it here so much, the members treat us so well and are our best friends. Which is super useful because we get tons of referrals!!!

Amazing week to say the least but they just keep on rolling on and the great experiences follow! One day maybe I'll be like that spiritual giant that the teacher drew on the board! For now, and what I challenge all of you to do, I ask myself: "what lack I yet"
Ponder and pray about that question and work towards becoming more Christlike in your life! And just like Mosiah 18:8-10 talking about the baptismal covenant, Christ will pour out his spirit more abundantly upon you!!

Until next week
