YOU, ME, TAMPA December 3, 2018

Alrighty everyone I got a weird one for you here today!!

First off to say, its been three months since I literally skipped (ask my mom) into the MTC! Time is flying and someone needs to stop it.

Lets get into it shall we!

Marshall sadly and suddenly, has like disappeared. Like we haven't seen him and neither have his neighbors for a solid week. Nice! We will see what happens haha!

Before the weird this week I will share the Miracle hahaha!

We have been teaching a part member family recently! (the only member being the mother who hasn't been to church about all her life.) We haven't been able to meet with them as often as we would like to, but they have come to church twice now! After testimony meeting yesterday, 2 of the 5 that aren't baptized came up to me and Elder Bailey and asked if they could get baptized!!! Nice! Now we actually get to go over and teach them and this way we will be able to make it to the rest of the family!!! We have a ton of baptisms planned for the 29th, if they all come through, we are going to have one grand service! More to come on them!

Now, the weird.

The other day we had just barely parked our car in a trailer park that we were going to walk around in. Every time we leave the car to preach, we of course say a prayer. It was about 7:30 at night so it was nice and dark. I had just barely gotten done saying the prayer when I looked over at Elder Bailey and I had one of those pee your pants moments when you realize that there is someone standing at your window just staring inside. Well Elder Bailey saw that and turned and had the exact same experience hahaha! He rolled down the window and asked if we needed to move or something, but the man said nothing. We felt like we needed to get out, so we did, and right when we did, he pointed at me. "You, Me, Tampa. Three days. No phones, no bible, just God." I was like, what are you trying to say to me hahaha! He then tells us about some camp that goes on in tampa in the most broken english and spanish I had ever heard. Like he couldn't speak either one of them fluent but used both. After a while, we could definitely tell that this man was drunk. He simply wouldn't take no for an answer though!!! We tried to get away from him for 20 minutes, literally walking away from him just to have him walk with us. He kept sharing the same story over and over again about how at 5 in the morning he was dancing to some band while a lady crawled around with a cross. Well long story short, Im going to tampa with him! Got our pictures and anything!! hahaha we aren't going of course but we had to tell him anything we could to get him off our backs!! I love this place hahaha!

I've got a huge surprise for you all next week!!

I love you all and I am so thankful for you! I want you to know that no matter how hard this work can be, walking for hours with no one listening to you, getting cursed at by passing cars and people, having people take you by the tie and pull you close saying "change your shoes and clothes and pick up a shovel and actually help people" (always something to go along with the shoes I don't know why haha!) That I know for a fact the work I am doing is changing lives. I have seen the joy in my own life, and I have experienced it entering into the lives of those we are teaching. We are not walking this road alone. At all. We are headed by our dear and beloved brother, Jesus Christ. This is his work. Scattered Israel is coming back together.

Until next week!

Elder Campbell

Feliz navidad!
