STAYING IN THE CITY November 26, 2018

Transfer day has come and I am officially staying in Plant City with Elder Bailey for another transfer!

I hope everyone just had an amazing thanksgiving! I hear there is snow on the ground in Utah and I am jealous. Theres a lot of fog here in Florida so I guess its kind of the same. Water in the air!

Thanksgiving was great! We ate so much. I am blessed to be able to serve in the states to celebrate the Holiday one more time before I am eating guinea pigs!! We ate at one house and walked to the next. Ate at that house and crawled to the next. Ate at that house and rolled to the next. Ate at that house and called it quits and almost threw up hahaha!

We have had some amazing things happen this last week! We set some more baptismal dates, met some more amazing people, and just in all been blessed to be workers in the Lords vineyard! We were contacting the other day and I wanted to just try to make this one as memorable as I could. This nice lady was working in her garden and we went up to talk to her. She talked about her church for a while (there is a church LITERALLY on every corner in plant city). She told us though that she really missed the old hymns and how she didn't like that they were turning it into like alternative trying to attract different people. This is my opportunity to make it interesting. In light of thanksgiving just happening, I pulled up the hymnal and started singing count your blessings. Well she knew the song too!!!!!! She started singing along with me!!! Here we were standing in the middle of the street singing!!!!! My comp was so confused hahaha! What a wonderful lady, We haven't been able to see her again yet but I know she will never forget singing with 2 Elders in the street hahah!

Baptism this week!!!! Carlos got dunked! What a bright young man who loves the church. soooooooo much energy. He told me that I was gonna get it though because we made the font too cold hahaha! He is going to change lives. We are so happy for him. There is nothing in this world that quite compares to seeing someone you have been working with take the step to be baptized. This work isn't just changing their lives.

I have something to ask for you all! We have someone who really wants to get baptized but needs to stop smoking first. We are helping him go into a 7 day long program that has worked almost 80% of the time for everyone who follows all 15 steps exactly. It is not going to be easy for him. We really want him to change his life though. He wants to change. Please remember Marshall in your prayers. We are going to try to start the program this week, I will keep you updated on progress!

I love you all and I love hearing from all of you! You all are so amazing. Remember that there is no thing in this world that is impossible with the Lord on your side!
