DIOS ES NUESTRO PADRA CELESTIAL September 15, 2018

Hola Hermanas y Hermanos! This week was certainly interesting and all I have to say is, I realized I don't know spanish at all hahaha!
We started teaching our first lessons this week through something called TRC. Which is where the church employs people to come listen to the new missionaries talk. Some are members, some are not! anyway, me and my companion kind of based our whole lesson off of god is our loving heavenly father and that he has blessed us with families here on earth, but right when we got in there, we asked her what her beliefs on god were and she said none! Gosh dang it. Can you only imagine two missionaries trying their best to explain in like the four words we know all about god? well in short, that lesson was a disaster. My companion and I were a little down and out of it kind of feeling bad for ourselves and I realized how much of a sin that was. This isn't for me. This mission isn't for personal gain at all. I have been called as a representative of christ to bring all others unto him. I quickly repented of my sins and went right to work. We created a whole lesson on prayer and I grinded on as much Spanish as I could! Now I didn't know everything of course, but at the end of the lesson when we invited her to pray to god to know the truth and I bore my testimony to her in spanish, the spirit was so strong in the room. Words were just popping to my head and I could really see her intently listening. I hoped out of everything she could understand what I was saying, but I could truly see that she could understand what the spirit was saying. That was the most amazing feeling ever.

I don't have a horribly large amount of time so two stories real quick!

Hermana Nelson promised us that on monday, if we pulled a spanish fast through the whole day (only speaking spanish) that she would let us facetime President Nelson! Will it happen? maybe not, but she did promise that if we wrote letter to him that she would deliver them and that if he happened to reply, she would send them! How cool would that be!!!!

Last story for you and then laundry time. Super Mega Cama! To celebrate the nice and hard work that we all put in this week, my district celebrated with a huge sleep over where we put all our beds together and slept in the same room! Separated from the companion of course though because we follow the white handbook. But throughout the night we were talking about great things like our first kis... our favorite scriptures! Our holy souls talked about holy things all night i promise no dating stories or first kisses at all.

Good times all around from the MTC! Got to welcome in my boy Elder Jackson! Love that man, I can tell hes going to do amazing things and help so many people out in the world. Wish I got a picture but I only see him in the Cafe where we can't take pics! I'll hopefully snag one this week haha!

Love you all!

Elder Campbell
