Friends and Family: here we are, once again in Ecuador! This week was full of traveling and helping the new comp get to know the people we are teaching and also helping him learn Spanish!!
My new comp is a gringo from the factory back in Utah, we already are great friends and just really excited to get to work. It's fun to see just how determined and ready the missionaries are that come out into the field!
We are working with some great people right now! just this last week, we met someone named Juan who is 82 and doesn't have kidneys. He has to go and get his blood drawn into a machine and cleaned like every other day. He can barely walk but he's always got a smile on his face! He asked us if there was any way that we could help him in his situation feel better and we told him that we have just the perfect way. He came to church with us! He is praying and looking at pictures of the Book of Mormon while we look into getting him a copy he can listen to (he's almost blind). I love the people here!
At lunch, one of our friends challenged me to a hot sauce drinking contest. I love hot sauce. Hot sauce down here is so much hotter than in the states. I had to show him just how amazing the gringos are though so even though I couldn't feel my mouth or my throat, I took him out on the 5th spoonful.
Life here is amazing!!! Good things are happening and times are just flying because of how much fun the mission life really is. Service to our Lord brings so much joy. I love you all so much!!!
