Florida is heating up and so is the work! Another sweaty week has gone by and I'm here to tell you all about it!
We met an amazing lady named Olga the other day and she is from Ecuador!!!! Woooooooo I knew I was called to serve the Ecuadorians! She loves us though and she is going to make us a super amazing Ecuadorian like buffet tonight as we teach her English and the gospel! But okay awesome experience with her last week. Our plans for the night had seriously all just fallen apart and we were like sure let's go by and at least see if she is home. We had only seen her once and we hadn't texted her or anything. When we knocked on the door, she opened up and said "you know, I was going to go to the library with my friend, but the spirit told me that you two were coming by tonight." Ooo! The spirit hit us both so hard! Ecuadorians are so amazing!!
Alright series of unfortunate miracles let's do it: Wednesday, the transmission on our 2018 Malibu started to die and we were super confused. So we called in and got a time for the car to be checked out. They said it would be in like 2 days and we thought we would last that long and be okay. The next day, we were driving to this Mexican restaurant for some good food and to try to find someone that speaks Spanish (strategy) and it just started failing. We pulled up into the parking lot and I had to push the car into a spot because we had no power. Called a tow truck and went inside for some food. Well we were pretty bummed at that point but when we walked in, one of our investigators worked their! We talked with him a good while and he invited us to his kids party the next day! What are the odds we break down and spend 3 hours there talking to him!!! The next day with them they were super interested in talking about baptism with us! Ahhh God works in such cool and mysterious ways!
But also our car was broken so we had to bike all day Friday which was a hot day and we had lessons far far away because we cover the biggest area... that was the sweaty day. But then we got the best call of our lives! They gave us one of the sisters cars and now they are on bike while we have a car hahaha! Whoops, I kinda feel bad but also President said we needed it more and I don't question President!
Id also like to report that the cockroach is STILL living on the wall in our apartment. We had absolutely no clue it would live this long hahaha!
Tons of things to say but not tons of times to tell it! I love you all so much and I hope you all have an amazing week! We are loaded with dinner appointments this week so I know it'll be a great one for me! Can't wait to tell you even more about the fun next week! The mission continues!!
Until then
