Sounds like a band! Or maybe we were payed a visit from Elder Renlund and we had an amazing mission conference. Lets find out!!!
To start off the week, last Monday after P-day ended was super interesting for the night. Sometimes you will be going to a lesson and the skies will be clear here in Florida, and then 30 minutes into your lesson it will be as if someone dumped a lake over you. Well this happened Monday night so we delightfully got to drive home in this weather. We were about to pull on to the freeway when we saw a car slide off of the road and roll! I told Elder Bailey to stop the car and I flew out of the car before the car could even come to a stop. The car had come to a stop on its side and the passanger side doors were facing up. It was only a man in the car and luckily and kind of miraculously, he wasn't hurt at all. But he was scared and when he climbed up out of that car, leaped right into my arms and we both crashed to the ground haha! I checked him out a little and he was perfect so I just told him to walk around and call who he needed while the adrenaline was rushing. He had left his car on though and it was making a dang awful noise. I hopped up onto the car and got into it to turn it off, and I guess all through this process, my tag fell off! I lost my magnetic tag in his car hahaha! All was well after that and I didn't notice I had lost my tag until we were home so its a goner. I just hope that someday someone finds that tag and is converted because of it. I also feel really bad for that man. His opportunity to meet the missionaries came with him wrecking his car.... Everyone gets their chance somehow!!!
Elder Renlund payed us a nice awesome visit and what a power house of the spirit he is!! He brought us all so much courage and excitement. I took so much away from that meeting and I am going to change my life according to what I learned, but something that I want to share with you that was the most special part was how he started. He looked at all of us and said, "My message for you here today is thank you. From the Lord and His church. Thank you." Being thanked by an Apostle... I don't think anything will ever change my life quite like that. He is such an amazing man.
In that same conference I also learned that I should be more humbly bold with my approaches and I can't wait to share with all of your stories on how that goes because its gonna take some getting used to!!
We had some awesome lessons this week but I want to share an experience with you that happened yesterday! Of course, weird. We had two firm lessons planned and our ward mission leader wanted to come out with us so we decided that it would be the best day to bring him. We got to the first house and another man was outside. He told us that the man we were looking for didnt even live in the neighborhood! Like what in the world he went inside the house right after we contacted him hahaha! Then we went to the next lesson and knocked on the door. A different man answered and told us that the man we were looking for didn't live there!! What! Twice in a row with two different people!! This one was the weirdest though because we actually went into that mans house the first time to teach him the restoration and I guess he just doesn't live there hahaha!
Everyone be careful out there, I guess people are just disappearing.
