KNOCK ON WOOD October 13, 2018

Well, the time has come! I am leaving the MTC this Wednesday after what will be 7 weeks and will be hitting the field just as wide-eyed as I was when I got here hahaah! I am so excited to get out into the field and learn from my experiences. It will be absolutely interesting to see what the Lord has planned for me from here!

2 hour church!!!! How insane!! I love the Idea a lot! Even though it does not start until the new year, know that you can start getting in to the habit now! Start reading more and doing more things as families. Take time and devote it to spending it with your family. What a blessing it is to have the opportunity of eternal families, Why wait for eternity to happen to spend it together.

This week has been really interesting for us since we were already supposed to be gone, they have kind of been throwing us all around the place haha! One day we will have a sub or our normal teacher, the next we will be thrown into a class with a district on week 4 learning things that we have already "mastered." What a good time to expound upon what we know! Even a better opportunity to get to know some of the other missionaries in the MTC! I am super sad to say my goodbyes to all of them since we have become so close, but I know that they are going to do some amazing things!

So it snowed at the MTC for a good 3 seconds and my sub had to move me from the window and close the blinds because I was about as excited as a dog about to receive a treat.

I have tried to give you a story each week about something interesting that has happened and I will continue to try to do so. This way, you can look forward to my emails hahah!

My story for you today, in light that Halloween is just around the corner, is one of extreme horror. In the cafeteria, there is a place where we must all go to return our trays and dirty dishes. And let me tell you, this place Body slams your nostrils with just the most horrible smell in the world. I have always had the weakest of gag reflexes... I just want to paint the picture for you. There is a door that leads into the place and then maybe 20 feet down the wall is another door where you exit. You go in, put your tray on a belt thing that takes your tray to the dishwashing place and then you dump you cup into a cauldron of chocolate milk, water, orange juice, sprite, and coke. Then you put your cup upside down and you flippin run out of there as fast as you can. I've decided to hold my breath all throughout this process. Sometimes it works and I get out okay, but sometimes the senior missionaries take some nice time and I almost pass out and then breath and almost spew. My district knows this happens to me. The smell doesn't bother them as much... lucky... but they will now box me in to the room and not let me out. By the time I finally make it past them, I run as far out as possible and take huge breaths but gag and almost throw up each time. The exit though is right next to where the line starts to get some food. So I am sitting there almost puking on all these new missionaries that haven't even gotten their food yet hahaha! I swear I will have nightmares of this place.

Thats all I have from the MTC! Next time you hear from me I shall probably be in the field! I don't know when my new Pday will be yet, but make sure you are checking for my emails! I love you all and I hope that nothing but the best comes to you! We are all meant to have joy in this life. But we can not experience Joy without experiencing sadness as well. Trials are necessary in our lives. I promise you that as these trials come about, no matter what it may be, look unto the Lord for comfort. I promise that if you allow his help and lean on his shoulder through all things, you will experience miracles in your life.

Buenos suerte!!!
